On the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, principal patroness of the Congregation, the Region celebrated the 123rd foundation of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior.  On this same day, our Sr. Marianne Felisilda celebrated her 25TH JUBILLEE OF PROFESSION of Vows as a Salvatorian.

The main celebrant, His Excellency, Most Rev. Bishop Socrates Villegas, DD arrived almost an hour before the schedule of the Eucharistic celebration.  Many family members, relatives, friends, co-workers and acquaintances from other congregations joined this wonderful celebration.

On the occasion of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, principalDSC06126f patroness of the Congregation, the Region celebrated the 123rd foundation of the Congregation Sisters of the Divine Savior. On this same day, our Sr. Marianne Felisilda celebrated her 25th Jubillee of Profession of Vows as a Salvatorian.

DSC05993fThe main c elebrant, His Excellency, Most Rev. Bishop Socrates Villegas, DD arrived almost an hour before the schedule of the Eucharistic celebration. Many family members, relatives, friends, co-workers and acquaintances from other congregations joined this wonderful celebration.

“Sr. Marianne said YES to God and by saying Yes to God she said NO to marriage, to ambition…NO to material wealth…” Bishop’s homily was both inspiring and thought provoking. It was powerful that it led us to a deeper reflection of our own vocation journey. He ended his homily with some humor saying, “Sr. Marianne, I look forward to your Golden Jubilee and I am inviting myself. I do not anymore look forward to your Centenary celebration…!”

The Region thank Sr. Marianne for her perseverance and love for the Congregation for the past 25 years.

DSC06181fWe also appreciate the presence of her family who witnessed this momentous event. It is our wish and prayer that she will continue to have good health, missionary spirit and love for the congregation. SR. MARIANNE, CONGRATULATIONS!

DSC05985fThe Renewal of Vows of two Junior Sisters also took place on this day but on a different venue: Sr. Ruth Baguinon and Sr. Rose Agnes Etong in New Manila and Cebu respectively.

It was indeed a moment filled with joy, gratitude and praise to the Almighty! Alleluia!
