Sr. Carolina Lapara, SDS graduated last May 31, 2009 with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Social Work at Asian Social Institute (ASI). She took and successfully passed the licensure examination on June 23-24, 200.Congratulations Sr. Carol !!!
Annual Retreat
The Phillipine Region held their annual retreat on May 2-8, 2009 in Tagaytay at Charles Borromeo Sisters’ Retreat House. The theme, “Weaving Salvatorian Life” continuously challenges and confronted the Sisters with the down to earth presentation of the retreat director, Fr. Erik Raveza, RCJ.
The first National Congress of Child Rights Advocates
The first National Congress of Child Rights Advocates (CRA) organized by the SPCC was held on May 10-11, 2009 at the Lay Formation Center situated at the Manila Archdiocesan Seminary Compound in Guadalupe, Makati City. It was participated by representatives from CRAs of SPCC-QC, SPCC-Cebu City, from different parishes, government and non-government agencies that are directly involved in the protection of women and children’s program. Congratulations to SPCC!!!
Local Coordinator’s Encounter
The first local coordinator’s meeting took place on May 1, 2009 in the Regional House; New Manila, Quezon City. It was well appreciated thus the coordinators are looking forward for a follow up meeting to strengthen relationship and support system among them.
Visiting Cardinal Ricardo
Sr. Irma together with some Sisters in Cebu community, Novices and SPCC Cebu staff visited His Eminence Ricardo Cardinal Vidal Archbishop of Cebu in his residence in D. Jakosalem St. Cebu City last March 24, 2009. He gave his blessings and wished for more vocation in our congregation
