REGIONAL ANNUAL RETREAT 2015
The Regional Annual Retreat 2015 was held at San Damiano Spirituality Center, Tagaytay City from April 13-19, 2015 with Sr. Leticia Gracia, DC as the Retreat Facilitator.
Throughout her talks, formation in religious life was connected. She also cited the works of Eckhart Tolle on the importance of living the NOW. She mentioned several times that one way to live a happy life is to live in the present. Let go of the past…the hurts, pains and live the now.
Sr. Letty, a formator, speaker, facilitator and comedian rolled into one, despite her age maintains a busy schedule due to being very much in demand. We thank the LORD for the gift of this year’s
retreat!
ASIAN CONTINENTAL MEETING: SALVATORIAN APOSTOLIC LIFE IN ASIA
It was the first for the Philippine Region to host this year’s Asian Continental Meeting held at Lebanon Shelter, New Manila, Quezon City from February 5 to 15, 2015. The said meeting was facilitated by no less than the Generalate led by Sr. Edith Bramberger SDS, general superior assisted by Sr. Maria Yaneth Moreno R, SDS (general vicaress) and Sr. Lily Kurien, SDS (general consultant).
With the generalate were five units participating composed of superiors, formators: Malaysia with 2 participants, India with 5, Sri Lanka-4, Pakistan-1 and the Philippines- 6.
The topic centered on Salvatorian Apostolic Life in Asia. Two well-known Filipino religious women speakers: Sr. Leticia Garcia, DC and Sr. John Mananzan, OSB were invited. There was analysis, reflection and deepening on the theme in consideration to the signs of the times in Asian context and the various aspects involve in the formation process. The meeting was a time of grace for the Asian units and for the congregation as a whole.
