FEAST OF BLESSED MARY OF THE APOSTLES
On September 5, 2013 the sisters in Tara, Bolinao, Pangasinan together with some sisters in New Manila celebrated the feast of Blessed Mary of the Apostles, co-Foundress of the Congregation. The theme of the celebration was: Blessed Mary of the Apostles: Model of Faith.
It was a day to appreciate and remember with gratitude. Early visitors were the parishioners from Binmaley, Pangasinan, mostly friends of the sisters during their Stella Maris Hospital days. Our people from Tara and different Barangay: Zaragosa, Sampaloc and Santiago Island were also present to join in the celebration.
Truly a Salvatorian feast, our Salvatorian priest, Fr. Wilson Catabay, SDS was the main celebrant and Fr. Ulysses Angus, RCJ concelebrating. There were Triduum masses held from September 2,3 and 4, 2013. Before the Eucharistic celebration, a short PowerPoint presentation on the life of Blessed Mary of the Apostles was shown.
As ever, the Barangay Pastoral Council officials were admirable in their participation and sense of volunteerism. Praise God, indeed for this wonderful day!
REGIONAL POST CHAPTER- ASSEMBLY
REGIONAL POST CHAPTER & ASSEMBLY
All the sisters gathered together for the Post Chapter and Regional Assembly on May 22-24, 2013 at Lebanon Shelter, New Manila, Quezon City. Sr. Irma Caumeran, SDS, regional superior, officially opened the Post Chapter. The Post Chapter's theme was based on the General Chapter's main theme: Salvatorian Women: Mystical and Prophetic in Our Suffering World". Fr. Wilfredo Saniel, SVD facilitated the Regional Post Chapter. Sisters had their time to enjoy each others' company while dealing with various issues and concerns affecting their life and mission.
ANNUAL RETREAT
The sisters had their annual retreat on May 14-20, 2013 at the St. Charles Borromeo Retreat House in Tagaytay City. The theme was, "Towards a Meaningful Living of Religious Life". Rev. Fr. Victor F. Sadaya, CMF was the retreat master. His rich experiences in the formation of seminarians through the years contributed much in giving the retreatants a comprehensive understanding and deepening of what religious life is all about. In the next few days, he focused on community life and the three evangelical counsels: vows.
We thank the Lord for this time of grace to experience his great love anew, see our life from a better perspective, savor this needed moment of rest and keep marveling in awe at the beauty of nature in Tagaytay.
CELEBRATING PARTNERSHIP IN MISSION
On December 8, 2012, on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception and 124th Foundation Day of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior (Salvatorian Sisters), the Launching of the Financial Sustainability Program in New Manila was held at Janssen Hall, Christ the King Seminary, E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City.
The Salvatorians are grateful to Ms. Glenda Antonio of Spring Rain Global Consultancy, Inc. Unable to pay exorbitant fees charged by consultants, the Sisters became beneficiary of Ms. Antonio's free financial consultancy services. Helping the congregation find ways to sustain its members and mission, she took it as part of her mission to help.
